KREEP. TALKS: RÊVENIGHT

The brand Rêvenight was founded in 2017 with a debut amateur fashion show in Maryland. Along the way after more pieces  were showcased, the brand popularity spiked up around 2018-2019 . Fast forward a couple years later , their garments have been worn by a couple of influencers and most importantly the people that supports the brand and spend their hard earn money on their pieces . 

We are still striving as an independent brand and hope to get label endorsements/ collaboration.

THE INTERVIEW

Introduce us to your brand’s philosophy and what’s the meaning behind it?

The name is RÊVENIGHT. The word Rêve itself means dream in french , so basically means making your dreams come true and also symbolizes hope.

How do you manage the creativity process when it comes to creating multifunctional garments?

I basically take it day by day working up to the finish. I normally start with a base piece then try to style in my head by thinking or drawing what type of top can go with the base piece I’m currently working on . From there I prolong the collection by designing accessories which is the fun part.

What was the most valuable thing you learned from your education experience?

I would love to say I went to some sort of art college to study fashion but it would be a lie. Most of my sewing skills come from practicing and YouTube videos, but the small amount of knowledge in the fashion business comes from experience from my brand.

What do you think was the biggest rookie mistake you made when just starting out?

One of the biggest mistakes I made was taking out a big loan to start off the brand. i wish i took some time before putting myself in that position.

What’s the main impact of social media in the fashion industry in both ways, fashion buying and brand awareness?

Social media plays a big important role in both ways because it gives a platform to young creatives like myself a chance to showcase our art.

It also inspires and motivates others but also tears some dreams apart; it can basically build and break you .

Talking about innovation + creativity, can you tell us how your brand makes a difference?

I bring something that feels familiar but yet different in shape and cuts.

Can you define an innovative concept in fashion and how this is part of the brand?

One innovative concept that’s part of the brand is my puffer traveler bags . Our number one seller was those pieces that stood out and a couple brands started making puffer accessories fast forward a couple years later. safe to say i started that but they will never give me my flowers.

What do you think about the opportunity of selling your collections online nowadays?

I think it’s one the quickest way a customer can shop and interact with their favorite brand. .

“Keep going, your dreams will come true one day “ .
