SECOND SELF-NESS

Identity is not polished—it is convulsing flesh, stitched with instinct and turmoil. Fabric here is no longer clothing but a second skin: raw, grotesque, animal, alive. These images voice the brutal honesty of being—where beauty bleeds into ugliness, and selfhood mutates into language. Fashion ceases to decorate; it wounds, clings, breathes. “Second Self-ness” is the flesh within—the convulsion of love, scars, and identity unmasked. Growing up a queer person in India, I lacked the media and outlet to express so I created a fabric to reflect the theme from felted raw Gujarat wool and hand dyed over time, since there is no better way of storytelling than wearing them.
