In Chinese tales, all living things are possible to become immortal through practicing austerities but it usually takes hundreds or thousands of years for them to have a human shape. This insect spirit is just able to form her human-shape appearance for the first time, she is like a new born baby. Her insects characters still remain so she likes to stay around plants.
