Byungyoon Lee (YUNLII) is an MA Fashion graduate from Central Saint Martins + we are excited to share his final collection titled “FAR BEYOND” with KREEP Magazine.
”This collection embodies my exploration of industrial armor and transformation, pushing the boundaries of traditional garment construction.”
“FAR BEYOND” delves into the concept of garments as evolving entities rather than static objects. The collection features a fascinating blend of mechanical forms and hand-crafted surfaces, creating sculptural silhouettes that reflect an ongoing process of evolution. Each piece is meticulously constructed through techniques of reconstruction, fragmentation, and layering, allowing existing materials to be transformed into entirely new structures.
A bridge between analogue memory and a digital future, presenting the garments as future relics—part protection, part mythology. In envisioning clothing as evolving bodies, the designer aims to challenge conventional notions of fashion and invite viewers to reconsider the relationship between clothing and identity.
‘‘Through “FAR BEYOND,” I hope to inspire a new perspective on fashion, one that embraces transformation, creativity, and the continuous interplay between technology and craftsmanship.”
