The designer Christy Diamont loves art in general and particularly more, fashion.

‘I have always loved drawing, painting, creating particular and authentic designs. After my studies, I decided to create my own brand in order to be able to give free rein to my overflowing creativity. This is how I got into entrepreneurship as an artist.’

KREEP. TALKS WITH CHRISTY DIAMONT, FOUNDER + FASHION DESIGNER OF LUC ANGEL

When did you first realize you wanted to launch Luc’Angel?

Since I was little, I was already passionate about art and particularly more about fashion, it has always been my dream to launch my own brand. After my fashion studies I decided to create Luc’Angel.

How important is your cultural background to your brand?

The importance of my cultural background is very important, without it I will never be a designer, I will not be as creative, I will not be in line with myself, I would not have had a solid foundation to do this work.

When did you open the first store and how did you achieve this significant success?

In 2021 we took the plunge and opened the first thanks to several connections via social networks and other meetings and a lot of marketing.

If you could go back and tell yourself one thing before you started your career, what would it be?

Don’t work hard, but work smart. You have to be very patient and above all have a financial investment fund twice as much as the basic one.

For mistakes you will make, failures you will know.

How old were you when you designed the first dress?

Ohh I think I was 11 or 12 years old.

How do you want your customers to feel when they wear Luc’Angel dresses?

I’ve always said to myself that by wearing Luc’Angel, I would like every woman to feel unique, confident, authentic, elegant, but above all to be radiant.

Can you tell us how your personalized creations make a difference?

Our personalized creations make the difference on the creative level, I always strive to add a little artistic side, something creative, new, original. Finally, that each customer feels unique, authentic and confident knowing that each garment has been designed with a lot of love, joy and delicacy.

Is there a significant person in your life who pushes you and motivates you to believe in yourself?

Yes there are several, my family members and mainly my mother.

Tell us how your feelings influence the creative process?

When I create it is important that I am inspired, from a single inspiration can easily arise several ideas, several creations.

So to do this, I put myself in condition. I like being alone, getting away from any kind of distraction that can interfere with my work environment and especially having music in the background, it stimulates my imagination.

What are the main sources of your fabrics and accessories?

I use a lot of velvet, sequined fabric, lace, satin. I really like using handmade fabrics.

Do you collaborate with other brands or jewelry designers? Who?

In the past I have already had to collaborate with certain jewelry designers, in particular with the jewelry brand Oohjacquelina during Paris fashion week.

Name us some icons you would like to collaborate with.

I’ve always wanted to collaborate with certain fashion houses, but also with certain great artists such as Beyoncé, she has confidence and I like her style.

A body with curves is just perfect for my creations.

What are the next steps for your label, in order to grow further?

I would like to expand my horizons by setting up the Luc’Angel brand in Milan, London, New York, Paris, just to name only a few cities there.

But also by putting online a range of accessories, including bags and shoes.
